The rules are simple. You need to take a picture that would show your face and a heart-shaped object. The face has to be clearly visible and it must be your face, but the object can be anything you like as long as it has the shape of a heart.

It is the hearts that will be judged by the jury. Choose any object you like: a balloon, a cake, a heart-shaped cliff or a cloud. Anything your imagination can come up with. If you can draw, draw your portrait instead of taking a photo of yourself! Your face on the photo or drawing is also necessary to confirm that you are indeed the author of this picture. This is the TAU2 tradition: our site guarantees that all its users are genuine people.

How To Create A Postcard On TAU2

When your postcard is ready, all you have to do is to add the new postcard to your profile.

1. Open your photos in your TAU2 profile
2. Under “Add one more photo”, select your new postcard
3. Before saving it, tick “Closed access to photos” to Photo under “You’ve chosen a photo. Whom you authorize to see it?”
4. Finally, tick “Postcard from heart — for the contest” under “What do you see on this photo?”

That’s it — you can see the postcard in your profile and it has been entered into the competition! Of course, you can immediately use this postcard and send it to the person you like with best wishes on Valentine’s Day.

Postcards sent to us via email are not entered into the competition. However, if you have problems adding the postcard into your profile, our support service will help you. The number of entries is unlimited, but only new postcards are accepted! Creativity and a healthy sense of humour are welcome!

For example, you can send a postcard with a bench in an autumn part and invite your addressee for a pleasant conversation on this bench. The collection of postcards is constantly updated, at present we have the autumn collection and before each holiday we have a special holiday postcards set.

On the same webpage you will see the photographs that you have uploaded to your profile. You can add any image you like to those photographs. It can be a photograph, an interesting landscape view or a postcard downloaded from the internet or personally made by you.

Sending The Postcard

Choose one of the pictures and click on it. You will see a new webpage where you can type in your text (at the very top of the page). Please remember that this is only a postcard and your message should be short, 100 characters at the most, which is only slightly longer than a standard SMS. All you have to do now is to click on the ‘Send Postcard button’ and in a few seconds your addressee will receive your postcard and your profile will move to the top of the catalogue.

You can also send a postcard directly from the profile of the person you’re interested in. At the top of the profile page there’s the ‘Send Postcard’ link — it’s right under the user name and the city where the user lives. The procedure is same as described above: choose a postcard, type in your message and send it.

A Piece of Advice

Instead of a landscape or another standard postcard, you can send your own photo as a postcard. This way your addressee will instantly see who sent the postcard (and this is a great chance to make a good first impression!) and you can also be sure that she has never before got a postcard like this and never will, unless your first postcard will grow into something bigger.

To avoid such inconveniences, it’s better to send letters. Letters can be long and you can attach not one but several pictures at once. What are the drawbacks of letters and why not use just them? Men are charged a conditional fee on letters. The condition is that the money the man spent on writing letters to a woman will be credited back to his account once he exchanges contact information with this woman. Even though the fee is small, he do not recommend that women start communicating with men through letters. Postcards are much more suitable for this.

Exchanging Addresses

And finally, the main paid service for men. You can send your email address to a woman or get her address. In any case, it will cost from $15 to $25 (or 12 to 19 euros) depending on the rate. There are discounts, too, but do not come very often and are always unexpected.
