The rules are simple. You need to take a picture that would show your face and a heart-shaped object. The face has to be clearly visible and it must be your face, but the object can be anything you like as long as it has the shape of a heart.

It is the hearts that will be judged by the jury. Choose any object you like: a balloon, a cake, a heart-shaped cliff or a cloud. Anything your imagination can come up with. If you can draw, draw your portrait instead of taking a photo of yourself! Your face on the photo or drawing is also necessary to confirm that you are indeed the author of this picture. This is the TAU2 tradition: our site guarantees that all its users are genuine people.

How To Create A Postcard On TAU2

When your postcard is ready, all you have to do is to add the new postcard to your profile.

1. Open your photos in your TAU2 profile
2. Under “Add one more photo”, select your new postcard
3. Before saving it, tick “Closed access to photos” to Photo under “You’ve chosen a photo. Whom you authorize to see it?”
4. Finally, tick “Postcard from heart — for the contest” under “What do you see on this photo?”

That’s it — you can see the postcard in your profile and it has been entered into the competition! Of course, you can immediately use this postcard and send it to the person you like with best wishes on Valentine’s Day.

Postcards sent to us via email are not entered into the competition. However, if you have problems adding the postcard into your profile, our support service will help you. The number of entries is unlimited, but only new postcards are accepted! Creativity and a healthy sense of humour are welcome!

Prizes

The important prize which every participant will get is an excellent postcard with your photo which you can use now and in the future!

• Two winners will get the main TAU2 prize worth 100 Euro each
  For the male winner it will be 120 credits to his account. For the female winner it will be a gift basket worth 100 Euro
• Four additional prizes worth 50 Euro each
  Two men will get 55 credits each and two women will get gift baskets worth 50 Euro each

All the other entries which get the jury’s votes will be published in the TAU2 blog with a link to the author’s profile. As we have written before, such publications greatly affect the popularity of your profile on the site. Right now being mentioned in a blog entry is the best way to attract the attention to your profile!

Jury and Judging

All postcards added to the profiles before midnight of February 14 and marked as competition entries will be forwarded to the TAU2 designer. He will select the best postcards and publish them the next day in the TAU2 blog. After that the TAU2 team will vote on the winners. The competition results and interviews with the winners will be published on February 20.

What are the drawbacks of postcards? It’s hard to send a long text using postcards as you would have to split it into several pieces. Also, it is impossible to share your contact information through postcards (a bit later I’ll explain how you can exchange your addresses).

To avoid such inconveniences, it’s better to send letters. Letters can be long and you can attach not one but several pictures at once. What are the drawbacks of letters and why not use just them? Men are charged a conditional fee on letters. The condition is that the money the man spent on writing letters to a woman will be credited back to his account once he exchanges contact information with this woman. Even though the fee is small, he do not recommend that women start communicating with men through letters. Postcards are much more suitable for this.

Exchanging Addresses

And finally, the main paid service for men. You can send your email address to a woman or get her address. In any case, it will cost from $15 to $25 (or 12 to 19 euros) depending on the rate. There are discounts, too, but do not come very often and are always unexpected.
